Environment

At Hudson Print we take our environmental responsibilities very seriously. We only source paper from sustainable sources and encourage customers where possible to consider using recycled paper. We have recently eliminated the use of chemicals from our pre-pres production and have just launched our exciting print and signage scrapage scheme.

Print & Signage Scrappage scheme

Hudson Signs Sackers Recycling

A joint initiative between Hudson Print, Hudson Signs and Sackers Recycling – A pro-active approach to waste disposal!

The purpose of this scheme is to provide an ethical disposal of paper based products and signage for current and new customers of the scrappage alliance. Every business has a store of redundant literature or marketing material, this is an opportunity, on an ongoing basis, to manage and reduce that stockpile.

The scheme allows users to arrange for collection of excess, out of date and spoiled material from either print or replacement signage. The material will be recycled at the Sackers treatment plant and a certificate will be presented to you showing the amount of recycling achieved. Remember dumping this waste in landfill or a bin somewhere doesn't mean it will be recycled for any benefit to the Planet.

In turn, we will provide a discount on a range of recycled stock for those customers’ new print and signage requirements alongside our normal media. We will also offer a more flexible approach to the volumes purchased at the outset, why purchase 10,000 when you actually need 9,612. It costs customers money to print the overrun and causes stockpiles to sit in the office or warehouse. We will quote you more exactly for what you require and dispose of that which is now unwanted, free of charge.

What other print or signage company offers you that?

Alongside this initiative we are also offering a Plant a Hedgerow scheme for all customers, regardless of order value and a Plant a Tree campaign for orders received over £1,000. The idea behind this is to replace something into the community on a managed basis. It’s a simple scheme, for every order we receive we provide for a hedgerow to be planted in managed environment on a farm site in Suffolk. It will form a 290 meter run of hedgerow and present a challenge to our customers and ourselves to complete as soon as possible! For our larger orders over £1,000 we will plant a tree on the same basis at the same site.
